Bad service and water woes

Instead of her getting up and assisting me look for another book, the staff sit there and do sweet nothing

Editor

I made my way over to the Town Library in Victoria Street on Tuesday, June 2. The lady who assisted me sat in a ray of sunshine coming through the window, chewing terribly on a piece of gum.

I walked in and asked for a book I previously rented, only to be told they don’t have the book anymore. Instead of her getting up and assisting me look for another book with similar contents of the one I was looking for in the first place, the staff sit there and do sweet nothing.

I walked over to the shelf to look for the book myself and was stunned to see the book was not properly classified, making it difficult for me to find what I wanted. To add to the above, I stopped at the library on Saturday, May 28 at 8.30am only to find that it hadn’t been opened as yet despite what opening times state.

Then I have made countless complaints to the municipality regarding an ever flowing stream between Fritz Avenue and Ntabamhlophe Road.
Litres of water go to waste everyday but to this day nothing has been done to rectify this matter.
