Sir,
Let me use this opportunity to appeal to all our political leaders in the Northern KZN area and, indeed South Africa at large, to refrain from using illegal and defamatory tactics to try and win positions in the local government sphere.
This of course on the back of the cruel and brutal killing of the Nquthu Council Speaker who has just been gunned down in full view of his learners.
Juggling for positions is normal and in fact it is one of the most important tools to demonstrate democracy within the various political organisations.
However, that must not come at the expense of families losing their pillars, children losing parents, leaving widows and widowers crying for their loved ones. It is rather disgusting and foolish to say the very least for people to be killing one another just because of a chance to get to the state resources for at most five years. It is barbaric and uncalled for and, therefore, should be condemned with the strongest possible terms available.
