What are you running from?

Take a moment to give gratitude instead of watching everyone else's success.

Spend some time with yourself this week without a cellphone, friends or social media.

Too many of us seem to be running away from ourselves in an attempt to find fulfilment and happiness.

We spend a lot of our day booking our diary full with work and other appointments. We have become a society obsessed with seeming busy.

Our social media statuses ‘need’ to be full with event after event, each one seeming more creative than the one before.

It scares me that the last thing that I do every night is check my Facebook, when instead it should be a time to reflect on me and my day; how things have made me feel and what makes me happy.

Take a moment to give gratitude instead of watching everyone else’s success.

Maybe happiness is easier found when we spend time asking ourselves what makes us happy, and how are we going to get there.

Who cares what some old poet or celebrity quoted about happiness – ask yourself what makes you happy.
