THE WATER situation is reaching critical proportions.

Bloemveld Dam will be empty by the time you read this letter. The water level today, October 9, is a half a meter above the bottom of the last intake valve, and then there will be no more intake possible.

Klipfontein Dam is at 35% as opposed to 69% at the same time last year, and with no rain in sight we are in BIG trouble.

The time has now come to ban the washing of cars all together, as well as the use of hose pipes.

People with bore holes should also try to use them sparingly because the water table is getting lower by the day.
