#FreshTake – Simple gestures of kindness – part two

Put sticky notes with positive saying on the mirrors in restrooms

1. Offer encouraging words to a friend going through a rough time.
2. Pray! Pray for yourself, our police and teachers, your family, friends, co-workers and community.
3. Be the person who puts a tip in the tip jars at the grocery stores for charity. (Fewer people tip than you’d think!)
4. Do something to liven up the workday for everyone at the office or workplace.
5. When you go somewhere to get or do something, ask the people around you if you can pick up anything they need.
6. Give someone a hug.
7. If you drop an item while shopping, pick it up.
8. Call or visit your grandparents.
9. Donate your old eyeglasses so someone else can use them.
10. When you’re throwing something away on the street, pick up any litter around you and put that in the bin too.
11. Write something nice on that person’s updates who posts on social media constantly. They’re probably lonely.
12. Sincerely compliment your boss, who probably doesn’t often get feedback.
13. Put sticky notes with positive saying on the mirrors in restrooms. #Trythis
14. Let someone have that parking space.
15. Relay an overheard compliment.
16. Volunteer to read to children at an after-school program. For those who have parents, some leave for work and hardly see their children.
17. Donate pet food to an animal shelter.
18. Try to make sure every person in a group conversation feels included.
19. Stop to talk to a homeless person.
20. Rescue a pet.
