South Africa, change to unite

If the church stood up, be it if you claim to be black, white or brown, this country would be the best place to be

A divided country can only be destroyed. We are in need of a serious change. While everyone drives anger and hatred, South Africa needs to unite. The church is my first place to question. Why is the church so silent?

Angus Buchan is an Evangelist and he is doing well but what about all the church leaders and their followers? There are church leaders and pastors that practice apartheid and support division. If the church stood up, be it if you claim to be black, white or brown, this country would be the best place to be. The problem is that we all did wrong to each other.

The Bushmen’s heads were cut off, white people were killed and blacks were killed. Can we forgive each other and find a way to work together and unite? Respect for each other, tolerance, friendliness and Ubuntu should be practised by the church first, but I don’t see this. The church leaders are the first ones to speak politics and push for hatred.

We need to understand history and embrace forgiveness. All nations belong to God and by doing each other down; this can only make God create our downfall. We need programs that can unite us; we need to start greeting each other with respect.

The fact that we are divided and live apart from each other has created this tension. The church must come up with campaigns to this effect. The church must lead this process but very little was done from 1994 until now.

The church has become a dividing organ in our communities. Churches that divide communities are doing no good and it is only the Pentecostal churches that do this. Now we are reaping what we have sown by sitting and doing nothing. The politicians have no interest in this country. Most politicians are pushing for black empowerment and forgetting others.

Pushing for black empowerment is also an unbalanced state and not God’s way of doing things. Our human rights and Constitution are not respected. We want to enforce the Constitution only on a race and not everybody. What is good for the goose is good for the gander.
We are all equal before the law and South Africa belongs to all who live in it.

The little you do to unite this country will allow us to create a legacy for our children. I pray for those with anger and hatred, God can help you and the power of the cross can heal you. Practice love; let us start now to save this country.
