As we approach Diwali this week and going forward into the Festive season, I would like to request from the community of Dundee and surrounds to please take careful consideration when letting off fireworks. I know first hand, as do many, how it affects my animals at home.
I wouldn’t so much say it is the beautiful colourful fireworks that are the general problem, it is the loud ‘bangs’ that are let off and it is mind blowing as to what the purpose of these bangs are.
They are not pretty to look at and all they do is make a terrible noise and scare innocent animals. Not only is it the animals that suffer, think about the elderly and small children.
Our animals need to be sedated and our children sit with their hands over their ears.
It is not fair on them and I think it is common decency to think about those (animals and humans) around you.
