Disrespect for Voortrekker Monument in Estcourt

It is a disgrace that you chose to ignore this monument and just allowed the disrespect shown to those who died

For years now we have been forced to walk, or drive past the Voortrekker Monument, between the town library and the clinic in Connor Street.

You put up a very expensive, green palisade fence to secure the municipal offices and library but totally ignored this monument that is historical.

I am requesting that you remove the vagrant, the refuse that has been collected in and around the monument and repair the monument to its original glory. This monument deserves the respect by our municipality. Please secure it with proper fencing.

It really is an eyesore to this town. It is a disgrace that you chose to ignore this monument and just allowed the disrespect shown to those who died.
