There is no more law and order in Dundee – LETTER

'Pedestrians do as they please on the roads nowadays...'

Sir –
Why is it that pedestrians think it’s fine to walk as they please around town, crossing the street in the middle of the road and taking their time when they do so? They expect motorists to slow down and wait for them to take their leisurely stroll.

When the traffic lights turn green for vehicles, you mind pedestrians also crossing the road. It’s very frustrating and annoying to drive in town nowadays. I’m not sure how other drivers feel about it but I’m sure I’m not the only one.

There is just no law and order anymore, everybody does as they please. If it’s not the pedestrians, it’s the drivers parking where they feel like it or making a u-turn in the middle of the main street to get parking on the other side.

Where are the traffic officers anyway? Sometimes you see them sitting in their cars next to the road, playing with their cell phones. Something needs to change.
