We should be ashamed of our litter

Make a difference and dispose of rubbish at legal points of collection.

Madam –

Did you know, that a scientist on a recent exploratory excursion to the deepest part of our ocean identified sweet wrappers and plastic bottles lying on the silt?

Fellow earthlings, it seems that the extent of our littering habits knows no bounds and is nothing to be proud of!

Some countries are realising, at long last, that there is a worldwide litter problem and are going to become proactive in resolving the world’s attitude to the correct handling of plastic litter.

If countries are prepared to step in now, why can we lowly citizens, catch a wake-up and start to cleanup?

Make a difference and dispose of rubbish at legal points of collection.

Some fools I see dump along the Memel road at the top of the hill. Pity they are not identified, and once they have gone, pick up the spill and dump on their front lawn

! Would they be happy? I doubt!

Remember we all live here. We all enjoy the beauty. We can all make a difference if we collectively deal with littering in a proactive and responsible way.
