Sincere appreciation for all the help with repairs to the Estcourt Animal Shelter

None of this would have been possible without the help from our community

Estcourt Animal Shelter members and furry friends would like to extend their appreciation and thanks to the community of Estcourt for the generous contributions towards the cattery and kennel repairs.

At the beginning of this year, members of the shelter and Mr Ishwarlal Roy from JR Painting got together to identify the areas that needed repairs and attention.

The upper cattery and lower dog kennels were selected as the first stage of repairs, and after some very generous discounts for materials from Mica Hardware, Macksons Hardware and Estcourt Build It, the work began.

The kennels, that were previously out of order, are now neatly fenced and secure. This helps the shelter reduce overcrowding, and a new play area for the kittens ensures that they have space to climb and explore.

None of this would have been possible without the help from our community.  Therefore, the Estcourt Animal Shelter would like to say a very special thank-you to the Estcourt Lions Club and Mercury Launderers for their generous contribution, to Blurock Quarries for the stone and fencing supplied, and Mr Ishwarlal Roy and his team from JR Painting for their diligent work and added extras.

Stage two of the repairs, to the dog play areas, is due to start in the very near future and community members are urged to come forward should they be able to assist in any way.
