Sir – I applied for the renewal of my firearm licence in 2015, whereafter I was informed that my weapon number is registered with a Security company and not in my name.
I was assured by WO PB Basdau – Commissioner Vispol Support and Sgt UA Autar – Designated Firearm Officer at the Glencoe SAPS that the matter would be rectified. On May 30, 2019, I was informed that the renewal of my licence was successful.
In a time when everyone is frustrated with the lack of service delivery I would like to report that I received excellent service from Glencoe SAPS and in particular I want to thank WO PB Basdau and Sgt UA Autar.
