Vryheid Cricket Club – Business League – Enter your team
The cut off for entering a team into the business league will be on March 1. Kit is available to anyone that needs and the price to enter the Business League is a mere R400-00 per team.
THE third weekend of the business league resumed last Saturday with two matches being played at Cecil Emmett Park.
In the first match, KZN Bodyworks batted first against The Highlanders and scored a grand 182/5 in their allotted 15 overs. Ashley van den Heever and PJ du Toit were the top run scorers with 24 runs apiece. James Williams was the best bowler for the Highlanders taking 2 wickets for 14 runs in his 2 overs.

KZN Bodyworks bowled well and restricted The Highlanders to 105 all out in the 11th over with Freddy Stoltenkamp top scoring with 24 runs. Pine Breytenbach was the leading wicket taker for KZN Bodyworks claiming 3 wickets. KZN Bodyworks won the match by 77 runs.

The other match was contested by JMR Trailers and Build It. JMR Trailers, batting first, scored a decent 146/3 in their 15 overs. Jean Botha batted well and was retired two times on 20 thus accumulating 40 runs for the match. Build It’s best bowler was Ruan Senekal conceding 12 runs for 2 wickets in his 2 overs. Build It made good work of chasing the target and reached it in the 12th over with both Tiaan Naude’ and Miguel Machado scoring 23 not out. Johan de Villiers was JMR Trailers best bowler taking 1 for 14 in his allotted overs.
Build It won the match by 4 wickets.

The fun continues this coming Saturday at Cecil Emmett starting at 1pm. Braai facilities and a tuck shop are available to everyone.
