Nan brings silver to Dundee Bowls Club

Nan Roos played in the Singles final and had to settle for the silver medal, eliminating a few current Springboks along the way

At the South African Bowls Ladies’ National Championships at The Wanderers in Joburg, the club’s lady bowlers brought honours to Dundee Bowling Club.
Due to an admin error the Fours team of Nan Roos, Sylvia Malan, Noela Dreyer and Hanna Gevers, and Pairs teams of Nan Roos/Hanna Gevers and Sylvia Malan/Noela Dreyer were reflected as Dundee teams. This admin error has indirectly put Dundee Bowling Club on the map!
Nan Roos played in the Singles final and had to settle for the silver medal, eliminating a few current Springboks along the way!
The foursome brought real honours to Dundee. Nan’s Fours team won their section, Sylvia/Noela won their Pairs section and Noela won her Singles section by beating last year’s winner.
Dundee teams once again were in the prizes at the Ncandu sponsored day in Newcastle. Dougie, Essie and Willie came second and Hannelie, Carl and Elsie came third. Well done!
