The confident Madadeni Boys secured a four-one victory over Lusitano, before losing to Spartans on May 6. However, the side came back an beat Spartans three-one on May 11.
The most impressive thus far has been Stucky Zenith who seems to be on a war-path as the team crushed other teams underfoot.
On opening night, Stucky Zenith sent a message to all other teams by beating Hungry Lions, by a huge seven-nil score.
Last week Friday, Spartans were determined to not suffer the same fate, and pushed in three quick goals past Stucky Zenith’s goal-keeper, Hudhaifah Randeree, who was filling in for injured Irfaan Khan and Mohammed Jadwat.
With the score-line reading three-nil, Stucky Zenith went into attack, and by the end of the game, 18 goals had been scored; 14 of which belonged to the mighty Stucky Zenith.
Halfway through the game, Hudhaifah determined to get his name on the scorecard as well, and capped off the team’s 11th goal with a superb back heel that had fans on their feet.
Stucky Zenith never let go of the gas, piling on the pressure soon after conceding the first three goals, whereas Spartans who lacked a leading player were trapped in between attack and defence.
Al-Ahly beat an impressive Atletico on Friday night as well, in a closely contested game, which resulted in a two-one scoreline.
Al Ahly manager, Faheem Paruk, said the game was a fair one, but his side was confident of its abilities, and was looking forward to the team’s next encounter with Al-Ahly playing away from home.
