Three rounds of the FedAuto Spring Business League have been completed.

Three rounds of the FedAuto Spring Business League have been completed.
The 144 players involved each Thursday evening and their supporters are all enjoying the exposure to this great game.
The top five teams at present are:
Section 1: First – Hope High (6+43), second – Pensioners (6+26), third – Putt Putts (4+44), fourth – St Doms (4+43), fifth – Dozy Dudes (4+30).
Section 2: First – The Mexicans (6+30), second – Mag Repairs (6+29), third – The Flintstones (6+22), fourth – Vicky’s Vixens (4+36), fifth – Non Alcoholics (4+11).
Games are becoming competitive, and there will no doubt be changes at the top of the board as the tournament progresses.
Newcastle bowlers have also been supporting our neighbouring clubs recently by participating in sponsored competitions.
Playing in the Volksrust Bowling Club FedAuto competition last Saturday, Monty Steele, Stephen Shaw, Simon Ball and Michael McArthur finished third, while Douglas Steele, Michelle Steele, Lindsay McArthur and Aspen Shaw finished fifth.
The tournament was won by Phillip Scheepers and team from Vryheid, with Mahawane Bowling Club’s Abraham Louw and team in second place.
Ron and Alice Howe, and Anil Durgadin travelled to Ladysmith on Sunday to play in Klipbank’s NTT Nissan Day, and won all their games to be rewarded with the first prize, followed by Barbara Baleri’s Klipbank team in second place.
