T20 Night League – Pakistan Lions vs Spook and Diesel
Spook and Diesel batted first making 138/9 in their 20 overs. Ryan top scored with 54 and Udien chipped in with 24. Pakistan Lions’ best bowler was Adeel who took 4/20 while Ashfaq took 1/20. Pakistan Lions then took to the crease and were cruising to victory at 72/2 in the eight over when the heavens opened. Play had to be stopped due to the rain with Adeel on 47 not out. Pakistan Lions won via the Duckworth Lewis method.
Ace Eagles vs Endumeni Development
Ace Eagles batted first and made 119 all out. Ramil top scored with 36 and Zaheer made 20. Endumeni’s best bowler was Baloo K who took 4/17. Ashley was also in the wickets, taking 3/21. In reply Endumeni could only make 103/9 in their allotted overs. Jonathan finished on 19 not out and Brandon made 17. Zaheer took 2/17 and Abdullah took 2/19 as Ace Eagles picked up the victory.
Saturday 30 Overs – Pakistan Lions vs Farmers
Pakistan Lions took to the crease first and made 114 all out in 22 overs. Ali top scored with 45 and Adeel made 16. Shane was Farmer’s best bowler taking 3/19 while Correls took 2/2. In reply Farmers chased down the score in 28 overs, making 115/8. Woosie made 32 and Gert made 19. Farouke took 3/14 and Kamran took 2/16 but it was not enough to dry up the runs for Farmer’s, who picked up a narrow win.
Endumeni Development vs Ace Eagles
Endumeni batted first and made 206/2 in their 30 overs thanks to a scintillating 101 by Zeze. Mzwandile also starred with the bat making 84 not out. Zaheer took 2/30 for Ace Eagles. In reply they were bowled out for 135. Ramil made 42 and Zaheer made 26. Ashley took 3/34 and Andrew took 2/3 as Endumeni Development picked up an impressive win.
Rebels vs Spook and Diesel
Rebels batted first and made 112 all out. Farhaad made 37 and Alistor made 32. Haroon was the chief destroyer with the bowl, taking 5/14 and Ritesh took 2/17. In reply Spook and Diesel won with 10 overs to spare and 9 wickets in hand. Yusheer smashed a quick fire 70 and Shamil made 19 not out. Farhad took 1/31 for Rebels but it was not enough to stop the dominant Spook and Diesel team.
50 Overs Sunday League – Tigers vs Pakistan Lions
Tigers batted first and made an impressive 289/8 in their allotted overs. Keegan notched up a brilliant 102 with Vernen also impressing in his knock of 68. Ali took 3/56 and Jaffer took 3/58 for Pakistan Lions. They then took to the crease and were on 241/2, with 5 overs remaining, when bad light stopped play. Adeel’s was the star of the run chase with a fabulous 104 not out, while Farouke made 64 before the poor light meant the game could not go on. Logan took 1/39 and Vernen took 1/49. Tigers were awarded the points.
