New members join in the fun and run at Time Trials

Well done to all runners and walkers of whom many are taking part in the Pietermaritzburg marathon.

2km walk: Lani once again came in first with 20m31s, dead heating with Karla van Eeden. Third was a group of walkers, Luzanne, Bets and Bettie Wolfaardt 22m 43s.

2km walk/jog: Ayanda Vilakazi and Nthabiseng Dube came in together in a time of 22m 03s followed by Sthe Zulu and Sine Zungu at 24m 13s.
2km ladies run: Marne Ferreira dominated this event in a time of 15m 13s.

2km Colts: Bayanda won this event in a time of 17m11s, second was Sanele 18m10s, third was Mxolisi 18m 39s followed by Aphiwe 18m 41s.

2km Run: Rikesh “M3” Thakur won this event in a fast time of 8m 29s.

3km Run: Ivan “The conquerer” flew to the finish in a time of 17m 14s.

4km Walk/Jog: Vasanthee won this event in a time of 30m 31s.

4km Ladies Run: Thobeka Mbatha won this event in a phenominal time of 18m 39s, second was Thobeka Shezi 20m 37s and third was Jayrushka 22m 51s followed by Thandeka 23m 59s and Kholiwe 28m 33s.

4km Mens Run: Sakhile won this event in a time of 21m 53s, second was Sandile 23m 25s and third was Sylvester 26m 50s.

8km Ladies Run: Nicky Williams ran this event in a time of 39m 40s.

8km Men’s Run: Thokozani 28m 35s once again edged out Sabelo 29m 02s, third was Lindani 31m 48s and fourth was “Mighty” Joe 32m 27s. In fifth place was Petrus 34m 03s, sixth was Sanele 35m 04s, seventh place was Veli 37m 22s, in eighth was Clement Nelson 39m 30s followed by Zwelihle Duma and Reggie Nkosi 40m 40s.

Please note that Time Trials takes place every Wednesday at 17:20 in front of Dundee Junior School on Excelsior Lane. It is open to the public, young or old and is free.
