Local cricketers match T20 excitement in league

Despite a relatively low total to chase, Ace Eagles never got going and were dismissed for only 62

As the T20 Cricket World Cup draws nearer, excitement builds, and the local players are keen to show that they’re just as good as the international stars.
T20 Night League – Ace Eagles vs Farmers
The game was rained out.
Pakistan Lions vs Endumeni Development
Endumeni Development batted first and were bowled out for 102. Mfundo top scored with 30 and Zeze made 27. Waquas took 3/14 and Ishfaq took 3/18. In reply Pakistan Lions chased down the score, losing seven wickets in the process. Adeel made 35 and Waquas scored 25 not out. Endumeni’s best bowler was Zeze who took 2/15 while Dean took 2/25.
Ace Eagles vs Spook and Diesel
Ace Eagles batted first and made 131/9 thanks to 58 from Ramil. Sakib took 4/9 and Haroon took 3/17. Spook and Diesel were then bowled out for 126 in their run chase.Udien top scored with 62 and Ryan chipped in with 12. Ashruf was the chief destroyer with the ball taking 5/12 and Suleman took 2/14 as Ace Eagles picked up a good win.
Saturday 30 Over League – Rebels vs Endumeni Development
Endumeni batted first and made 131 all out. Mfundo once again top scored for the team, making 45 while Momelozi made 33. Aezaz took 3/20 and Justin took 2/2. In reply Rebels were bowled out, having only scored 101. Aezaz made 68. Mikaile took 3/10 and Andrew took 2/4 as Endumeni Development scored the victory.
Ace Eagle vs Farmers
Ace Eagles batted first and made 154/6 thanks to a brilliant knock of 97 not out by Ahmed. Farmer’s best bowler was Henry who took 4/30. Braam took 1/22. Farmers then chased down the total, making 155 for the loss of 7 wickets. Peter J led the run chase with a fine 59. Ahmed took 2/26 and Abdeel took 2/32. Farmers claimed victory, despite a good batting and bowling display from Ahmed.
50 Overs Sunday League – Rebels vs Ace Eagles
Rebels batted first and were bowled out for 109. Alistair scored 34 and Yusuf chipped in with 12. Jibhai took 4/18 and Saeef took 3/1 for Ace Eagles. Despite a relatively low total to chase, Ace Eagles never got going and were dismissed for only 62. Mujahi made 15 and Ashruf made 11. Shane took 4/4 and Yusuf took 2/1 as Rebels won impressively.
