Reeling in the big catch

Docrat’s Angling Club recently hosted a fishing competition for those looking to make the ultimate catch of the day.

There were several prizes up for grabs, as well as lucky ticket draws.
Angling enthusiast, Debbie Robson won, reeling in the heaviest carp. She was awarded R25 000 for her 3.7 kilogramme catch.
Seelan Gouden had his eye on the prize, and managed to hook the heaviest barbel, weighing in at 11.17 kilogrammes. He walked away with R10 000 for his efforts.
The organisers thanked all its sponsors who contributed to the overall success of the event. Without them, it would not have been possible.
