Aimee bowls to the next level

A sponsorship could push Aimee Schnetler’s game far forward.
The young bowling prodigy received a set of bowls, on behalf of Drakes Pride’s Steve Fullard earlier this month, ahead of a developmental tour to Bloemfontein this month.
To Aimee, this was a tremendous honour.
“I am very proud at this point,” she enthused.
While her sponsors could not deny Aimee’s exceptional talent, Mr Fullard expressed concern at her conduct on and off the green.
In mitigation, he hoped maturity would follow with age.
Responding, Aimee explained one of the most important facets of her game to improve upon, would be to become a gracious loser and a humble winner.
“It is a huge privilege to be sponsored and I will become the best ambassador I can be. I am young and will make a point of improving myself.”
Aimee described her new bowls as amazing, and looked forward to putting them to good use in Bloemfontein and at various club competitions in future.
In fact, this is the sole purpose of the sponsored bowls.
The Terrier model is one of three designed specifically for use on South African greens, which generally do not conform to international standards.
A special bowl was thus designed to compete on sometimes below-par surfaces.
“Aimee’s talent and achievements, and the fact that she had no bowls of her own, made her a perfect candidate for our sponsorship,” Mr Fullard concluded.
