Bumper Easter golfing weekend planned

Golfers can look forward to a bumper three days of golf this coming weekend when the annual Battlefields Tournament takes place from March 25 till March 27

A moderate field of thirty golfers took part in Saturdays’ club completion at Dundee Country Club.
Kallie Roets shot level par 71 to win the Bonus Bogey format on +4, with Joe Khumalo coming in second on +2. Lionel Shawe managed to count out and Cyril Mkhwanazi to finish in third position, with both players finishing level on their handicaps. There were only two players who were able to card a 2 Club, with L Shawe recording two holes, numbers 4 and 12 and M. Bradbury on hole no 16. K Roets was the sole winner of the jackpot with eleven points.

There will also be an eighteen hole competition on Sunday for those players who don’t see themselves playing thirty six holes in one day.

Friday’s format is I.P.S., Saturday will be a Combined Stableford and on Sunday is the Dundee Open, 36 holes stroke play. There will also be an eighteen hole competition on Sunday for those players who don’t see themselves playing thirty six holes in one day.
Members are reminded that the kitchen is now fully functional and are requested to check the notice board for the weekly specials, with particular notice to the superb pizza’s that are on offer. Bianca and Nozipho are available to assist you with your food requirements and there are menu’s available on display at the club. Just a reminder that the booze is still the cheapest in town, so come put it to the test.
