Striders conquer the two oceans

The theme of this year’s race was ‘Run As One’

Every year, 10s of thousands of runners come from across the globe to share a dream…

A dream to commit to, enter, train and ultimately participate in one of the Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon events that form part of the ultimate weekend of running.

For many, it is a dream to be part of the world’s most beautiful marathon.

It doesn’t matter where these runners are from, what they do, where they live or whether they run fast or slow.

The theme of this year’s race was ‘Run As One’.

Runners describe the race as having the most beautiful route that offers natural and breathtaking scenery.

Despite heavy winds blowing on us at Constantia Nek, the Emnambithi Striders runners who took part in the marathon braved the weather and managed to finish the race comfortably.

Well done to them all!
