Round robin cricket takes over Lambert Park this weekend

Competitive and a fun weekend for the family, the round robin tournament has become one of the highlights on the sporting calendar

The much-anticipated Umtshezi Cricket Association Annual Round Robin Tournament will be played at Lambert Park this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

In addition to the local teams that will be vying for the title, the association has also invited three school teams.

Teams from Estcourt High and Drakensberg Secondary schools as well as a team from Wembezi will also be contributing to the cricket action.

These teams will participate in a mini-tournament. This year’s tournament will consist of 12 games.

On Friday, April 8 matches begin at 6.30pm.

On Saturday, April 9 – the school teams mini-tournament starts at 9.30am and the league matches begin at 4pm.

On Sunday, April 10 the first games begins at 10am and the final will be played at 3pm. A presentation ceremony will be held thereafter.
