These are: Itec Freespool, Chelmsford, Riverside, Docrats, Glencoe and newcomers, Endumeni.
Anglers were eager to cast their lines in the opening stage of the Top Parts League, with plenty of prizes on offer.
“The low level of the water and poor bites at the dam did not break the spirit of the anglers, but made them work harder to secure wins for their respective clubs,” explained organisers.

Endumeni had a tough first encounter with defending champion, Itec Freespool, but proved no match, losing by 29 points to seven.
Elsewhere, Chelmsford faced Docrats, emerging the victor by 24 points to three.
Pumped up going into the clash, Riverside clinched a narrow win over Glencoe, ending with 15 points to its opponent’s 11.
This leaves three clubs with three points apiece.

NFWAA president, Clifford Robson thanked anglers for adopting a catch and release policy.
“98 per cent of the fish caught were released back into the water.”
Mr Robson thanked all season sponsors, and looked forward to the second league on September 4 at Sandford.
