Paddavlei Enduro ride attracts the best to Endumeni

Top riders are currently churning of the mud outside Glencoe!

Some of the top off-road riders in the world are currently tackling three loops of an uncompromising route in the Paddavlei farm area, Burnside, in the first round of the Liquorland Enduro Championships.  There are seven rounds across the country.  There are over 130 riders here including Kirsten Landman, the world’s number one  lady extreme rider, from Johannesburg.  Proof that beauty and mud do go together!

Dwayne Kleynhans, Travis Teasdale, Wade Young (third rate enduro rider in the world), Blake Gutzeit (top junior rider), Bradley Cox (son of the legendary Alfie Cox), Bruce May, Ryan Pelser, Calvin Hume (Roof of Africa winner) and some local riders too.

The route comprises three laps (for the top riders) of around  45km including some very tough enduro riding.  Hosted by Frans Strydom of the Paddavlei Enduro Club, the event has brought much-needed visitors and money into the area.  There is also television coverage!
