Debbie enjoys an easy golf win

The second round of our social darts league took place last Wednesday evening, and only the Scania team of the Van Rensburg brothers remain unbeaten after four games.

A mediocre field of 30 golfers took part in Saturday’s I.P.S. club competition at Dundee Country Club which saw an excellent round of golf by Debbie Catlett to score 41 individual points to easily win the competition by three points, ahead of Heinrich Meyer who finished with 38 points.
There were a few players who managed to score 37 points and winning the count out to claim third prize was Richard Catlett, with Reynier van Rensburg finishing fourth.
There were all of six players to record a 2 Club on the short par 3’s, Billy Francis and Dante Ceronio at the 4th, Bruce Meyer and Robert Khumalo at the 12th and then Melusi Sithole and G. Hayward on the 16th hole.
Darts League
The second round of our social darts league took place last Wednesday evening, and only the Scania team of the Van Rensburg brothers remain unbeaten after four games. Hot favourites, The Pink Panther team were beaten 2-0 by Amabutho to lose their unbeaten record, while the Golden Arrows team managed to record their first victory following three consecutive losses when they beat The Ackers 2-0.
The league is now wide open with only a couple of points separating the top five teams.
Members, their families and friends are encouraged to come and support the teams on Wednesday evenings as there will also be specials available from both the pub and the kitchen.
This coming Friday is a public holiday so the competition will be an 18 hole I.P.S. event and Saturday’s club competition format will be 4 B.B.B.S.
Players are requested to contact The Pro Shop on 034 218 1000 to book their tee-off times.
