Royal Hearts Soccer Club does well in Pietermaritzburg

The team was motivated and inspired, developed skills and met new friends but most importantly had fun

The Estcourt’s Royal Hearts Soccer Club was invited to attend a soccer school holiday course recently. The under 13 team made their way with their coach to East Wood in Pietermaritzburg last Wednesday.

They flew their flag high as they won the two matches they played. The scores were 6-1 and 3-2. The guest speaker, Shaun Potgieter, a former soccer player shared how he secured a sponsorship to play soccer at Amsterdam in Holland at a tender age.

The boys learned that the speaker was a good seed that was planted and he is now giving back to the community and were thankful that it spread to their team. They returned amped and ready to implement what they learned.

The team was motivated and inspired, developed skills and met new friends but most importantly had fun. The youngsters look forward to future coaching clinics.

They later enjoyed a yummy lunch. The team and coach would like to thank the hosts of the course for warmly welcoming them.
