Lord Allenby Shellhole bring their A game

Local snooker team fair well against the visiting team

On June 22, the Lord Allenby Shellhole snooker team hosted a snooker league fixture against a Pietermaritzburg team.

The Shellhole team consisted of Hansie Moolman, Dave Green, Dave Lumgair and Shane Janse van Vuuren.  The format played was singles only, with four players in a team.

The A team from the Shellhole eventually came out tops by beating the Pietermaritzburg team by 11 frames to five.

Hansie Moolman won three frames, Dave Green three frames, Dave Lumgair two frames, and new player to the team Shane Janse van Vuuren was impressive and won three frames.

The best result from the Pietermaritzburg team was Rupert Renken, who won three frames.  A great all-around performance by the Shellhole team.

The next snooker league fixture will be away against a very strong Ladysmith side in July.
