Local fishermen Amit Badri, Ashley Singh, Lloyd Jugdawooh, Sathar Khan and Ahmed Ayoob recently went on a fishing trip to Bloemhoef Dam. It was their first time fishing at Bloemhoef, so no one knew quite what to expect. Would the fish bite or would the anglers go home empty-handed?

To their delight, the fishermen reeled in a number of big carp on the day.
They used banana and pineapple floaties for bait, which seemed to do the trick and lure the dwellers of the deep onto their hooks.
