Packers squash the opposition

As the OK League comes to an end, players are urged to start entering their names for the Piet Mare Mixed Doubles Championships.

Team Packers continue to stockpile the points in the OK Value Squash League.
The team of Philip and Martinique Vlok, Weon du Plooy, Shakeel Kalideen and Hamish Grierson have racked up 103 points, with the Shelf Stockers (Walter du Plessis, Eugene Corbitt, Kyle Kelbrick, Ivan vd Stok and Magda Corbitt) not so hot on their heels on 91 points.
Sunil and Eugene provided spectators with an exciting five setter, with Eugene winning the match 3 – 2.
Graham and Hanno also had a tight game, with Hanno coming out on tops by 3 – 2.
Players must please RSVP for prize-giving that takes place on September 4.
“Please note that the lucky draw for the Kerriston Lodge accommodation (to the value of R18 000) will also take place at the prize-giving,” said the club’s Natasha du Plessis. “This is an amazing prize, sponsored by Guy and Lindsey Slater, in order to help us raise funds for much-needed renovations on the squash building. We would like to thank them for their support and urge everyone to support this initiative, by buying a R100 ticket from any committee member before the prize-giving.”
As the OK League comes to an end, players are urged to start entering their names for the Piet Mare Mixed Doubles Championships.
