Sunday’s limited over cricket match between Zululand and Amajuba at Cecil Emmett Park, saw the visiting side make an early exit.

Divan Geel and Elmar Gouws put 35 and 27 runs on the board for Amajuba respectively.
None of the other batsmen managed more than 10 runs, as wickets fell in rapid succession.
Shane Pennington’s spectacular performance was undoubtedly the highlight of the Vryheid bowling onslaught.
In his scintillating six-over spell, he bowled four maiden overs, conceding only three runs and claiming five wickets.
The remainder of the Amajuba side’s wickets were claimed by Andrew Brooks – two wickets for 17 runs in his four overs, Joshua Stride – two wickets for 11 runs in his 2.1 over spell and Devin Aspden – one wicket for 32 runs in seven overs.
With a mere 86 runs to chase down, Vryheid went in to bat and did not take very long at the crease, losing only a single wicket to the bowling of Elmar Gouws.
Smashing balls to the boundary, the opening batsmen, Juan Booyens and Joshua Stoltenkamp made light work of the Amajuba bowlers, with Booyens scoring 29 runs off 20 deliveries before being bowled out.
Stoltenkamp ended undefeated on 28 runs off 26 balls.
Coming in at number three, Devin Aspen showed no mercy, scoring an additional 29 runs for Vryheid off only 14 deliveries, including four fours and a six.
The host was able to accrue 90 runs for the loss of only one wicket in 10 overs, earning a comfortable victory over Amajuba.
Zululand’s nine wicket victory has helped it claim the top spot in the Pool A log standings.
