Treverton’s annual inter-house gala

The weather was perfect for a gala, and the swimmers and spectators kept the competitive excitement going throughout the event, with blue, red and yellow T-shirted pupils cheering their teams on with great gusto

Jonsson House enjoyed an overwhelming victory at the College’s recent Inter-House Gala, winning by 31 points over their nearest rival Campbell House.
The weather was perfect for a gala, and the swimmers and spectators kept the competitive excitement going throughout the event, with blue, red and yellow T-shirted pupils cheering their teams on with great gusto.
A new group of top swimmers are emerging at the College. The senior Victrix Ludorum was won by versatile sportswoman Micaela Sclanders; the Victor Ludorum went to Sam Scherer; the junior Victrix and Victor winners were Hannah Scott and Caide Sharp.
The following trophies were won by individual swimmers: Best Long Distance Swimmer (boys) – Sam Scherer, Best Long Distance Swimmer (Girls)- Micaela Sclanders and Jenna Malcolm, Best Butterfly Swimmer – Sam Scherer, Most Improved Swimmer – Keegan Wilde, Feisty Swimmer Trophy – Maritia Louw, Lansdell Trophy for Junior Victrix Ludorum- Hannah Scott, Dolphin Trophy for Junior Victor Ludorum- Caide Sharp, Lulu Barnard Trophy for Senior Victrix Ludorum- Micaela Sclanders and the Kirstein Trophy for Senior Victor Ludorum Sam Scherer.
Despite Jonsson being the winning house with 413.5 points, second placed Campbell (374.5 points) won the Relay Trophy, and Harland House are able to display the Spirited Teddy Trophy and the Tabloids Trophy, which they won at the Gala.
