Youth set to ‘Bedazzle’ with their natural beauty
Idealistic teen, Mbali Dlamini, is keen of touching lives with her passion for fashion.

A compassionate teen with the idealistic view that everyone is beautiful the way they are, Mbali Dlamini, is keen on touching lives with her passion for fashion.
The Newcastle High School pupil has secured funding from both the Newcastle and Amajuba District municipalities as well as local businesses to host ‘Bedazzle’, a show meant to provide youth with an opportunity for good clean fun.
“Youth models will showcase casual, vintage and glamorous outfits created by talented local designers. I have arranged for plus sized models as well, because I believe that that all youth are beautiful and everyone should be able to fit into society the way they are,” said Mbali.
“With this event, I hope to create an opportunity for good clean fun by generating interest and enthusiasm for something that isn’t self destructive. I also hope to encourage friendship through diversity among different youth groups.”
The Bedazzle fashion show takes place on September 25 at the Monte Vista hall at 3pm. Tickets cost R20 each and 50 per cent of the proceeds will be donated to a local charity, while the rest will go to Newcastle High School.“Communities need youth projects such as these, where young people are able to show off their talents, have fun without drugs and alcohol and unite in a non-judgemental environment,” concluded Mbali.
