Art on the table

“Real love is art.” Poul Pava.

The Danish self-taught artist Poul Pava has been painting for more than 20 years. His motifs with the instinctive figures depict “the child within us” and are characteristic of Poul Pava’s naive and spontaneous style. In addition to large paintings, Poul Pava’s amazing artistic universe comprises print on canvas, postcards, porcelain, and much more. Other artists have often tried to copy Poul Pava’s
original universe and style into their own style and design. Poul Pava, the painter, has more than colour on his palette; he is also a designer, jazz musician and poet. In collaboration with aida the artist has created a universe consisting of thermo mugs, bowls, plates, dishes, eggcups, place mats, tablecloths, jugs, vases… There’s no denying it; when we experience Poul Pava’s colourful art, we are filled with joy.

With 13 characteristic figures, Poul Pava and illustrator Tamara Lara Furrer have created an artistic, new design universe in collaboration with aida. The new range, “be friends”, has everything for a full table setting with thermos mugs, espresso mugs, plates, dishes, carafes  and bowls large and small. The large dish and the large bowls are ideal for fruit or use as serving dishes – or quite simply as decoration in their own right. The thermo mugs hold in both heat and cold, and ensure that you do not burn your fingers. They are constructed in two layers of porcelain with a hollow isolating centre. The Porcelain – Dishwasher, oven, microwave & freezer safe. Please do not take it directly from cold to hot! Glasses – Dishwasher & refrigerator safe. Please do not take it directly from cold to hot.
