Pass the baton at Relay 2014
The first round of the second annual Newcastle Idols competition will also be conducted at the relay, focused on bringing musical talent to the fore.
The highlight of April 12 will certainly be the launch of Relay for Life 2014 and the Newcastle Idols talent search.
At this year’s relay, cancer patients and their caregivers are to be given a VIP invite. CANSA’s community mobiliser. Estella Naicker said their lives would be celebrated at length and identified survivors would be treated with dinner, gifts and more.
According to Ms Naicker, the first round of the second annual Newcastle Idols competition will also be conducted at the relay, focused on bringing musical talent to the fore.
The first 20 hopefuls will be given the opportunity to wow judges at Relay for Life 2014.
“They will be able to give performances for the three judges. So far, Angus Burns has been confirmed as the first judge.”
