IT HAS been a phenomenal season for Vryheid Rugby Club, with many positive changes and fresh new ideas being put into play.

Our men in maroon have made Vryheid proud, flying the flag high and finishing the season first in the league and second in the knockouts, as well as reaching major achievements along the way.

It is with this sense of community pride in mind that Vryheid Rugby Club invites the public to their annual prizegiving on Friday night, November 14 at the clubhouse at Cecil Emmett Park. It promises to be an event not to be missed, with a live performance by the always entertaining Phillip Taylor, who has wowed crowds on many occasions at this venue.

Doors open at 6:00pm for 6:30pm, with the prizegiving being held and photos being taken of the teams. A cash bar will be available, as well as a spit braai for the public to enjoy, in the convivial and accommodating company of the committee and club members, who have raised the bar and brought about a feeling of unity within the club in the past season.

The club will also be hosting Social Touch Rugby for all who would like to have a bit of fun and get some post-Winter exercise on Mondays and Wednesdays in future from 5:00pm at the club. The bar will be open for drinks.
