For the second year running, Blackrock Casino is hosting the Roulette Masters Tournament.

At an exclusive private tournament held last week, Blackrock’s Marketing Manager, Veneshrie Chetty, revealed that this year, the prize money will be increased to a whopping R2.2-million.

“The event is running nationally across 14 casinos,” confirmed Mrs Chetty. “This year, heats will take place everyday between 7pm and 8pm.”

The first prize winner, she added, would walk away with a massive R1.3-million. “The aim for competitors is to stay on the leaderboard,” she explained.

Mrs Chetty added that the top 21 players would compete in the unit final on March 14. Cash prizes will also be awarded on the day.

“The final two will go on to play at Monte Casino in Johannesburg for the first place prize,” she concluded.

At the private tournament, which took place on February 13, invited guests were given the opportunity to participate in their own tournament. R600 was given to each participant, and the winner walked away with R5 000 in cash, to be donated to a charity of their choice.

Winner of the private event tournament, Mrs Zondo, was the top scorer of the night and chose to donate her winning to St. Anthony’s Home in Blaauwbosch.

As a special conclusion to the night, guests were also treated to dinner at Mid City Grill.
