Valentine’s Day winners
Congratulations, and we hope your Valentine's Day was magical!
Yashveer and Kajal Mohan were the lucky winners of the Valentine’s ‘On a Budget’ competition, which was run by The Gift Basket, in conjunction with the Newcastle Advertiser.
This was their winning entry:
“Oftentimes when we envision perfect Valentines dates, it involves wine and moonlight. My idea thought is similar but different- coffee outside a convenience store. My husband and I met 3 years ago in Newcastle, and we spent the first 4 weeks of our courtship outside petrol station convenience stores. And the only thing on the menu was coffee and moonlight. Not very romantic by any standards but certainly the most special way we could spend this Valentines. We often joke about it now, but those special moments over steaming hot coffee in polystyrene cups is probably why we ended up married today. #Priceless”
