HARRY POTTER: New script book releases in July
A book based on a theatre production will release on Harry's birthday.

A new addition to the Harry Potter universe is on the way.
While J.K. Rowling has confirmed the eighth book in the series will release on Harry’s birthday (31 July), she has stated Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is a script book and is neither a sequel nor a prequel.
In the timeline, Cursed Child is set 19 years after Deathly Hallows concludes.
The book centres on Harry Potter, now a man grappling with fatherhood, being a husband and his past, as well as son, Albus, struggling to come to terms with the legacy of his parents.
“As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places,” reads part of the official synopsis.
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is based on the two-part stage script, developed by Rowling and theatre geniuses, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany.
The play premieres in London on July 30.
Actors Jamie Parker, Noma Dumezweni and Paul Thornley have been confirmed as portraying Harry, Hermione and Ron respectively.
The casting of a black actress as Hermione was met with mixed reactions from fans.
On Twitter, Rowling cleared the air: “Canon: brown eyes, frizzy hair and very clever. White skin was never specified. Rowling loves black Hermione”
