Reminiscing on the resurrection of Christ

As the sun peaked over the hillside at about 6.07am, Reverend Dickie simply stated, "He has risen; he has risen indeed."

As Newcastle’s lights twinkled in the background, Christians gathered atop Hilldrop Hill for the 26th annual Easter Sunday Sunrise Service.

Braving the chilly autumn wind to celebrate the resurrection of their Saviour, Jesus Christ, more than 100 believers were present for the interdenominational service.

The ceremony was led by reverends, Sandy Dickie and SW Scott, and commenced with mighty hymns.

Christians were reminded of the true meaning of Easter- praising the God who was raised to life for our justification.

As the sun peaked over the hillside at about 6.07am, Reverend Dickie simply stated, “He has risen; he has risen indeed.”
