This year, Mother’s Day will fall on May 8, a day dedicated to showing mothers how much they mean.
To really spoil your mum, why not take her to a special high tea?
A Mother’s Day High Tea will be hosted by ZNZEE Club, at Siyaphumula Bed and Breakfast on May 7 from noon.
The first of its kind in Newcastle, organisers, Zandi Mkhize, Nosipho Vukeka and Zandi Mkhulise are hoping the high tea will become an annual event.
“As there aren’t a lot of functions in Newcastle, we brainstormed to see if we could host an event similar to the sort of functions held in bigger cities,” Ms Mkhize said.
On the day, guests will be be able to enjoy an afternoon of socialising, listen to a motivational speaker, receive goodie bags and have a photo taken at a photobooth.
“The theme for the day is Vintage, and we will also be handing out prizes to the best dressed,” Ms Vuveka said.
There will be lots of entertainment and a special treat for mothers.
“Guests can choose to get a pedicure, manicure or massage on the day.” said Ms Mkhulise
