Golden egg hatches sizzling surprise

Creating a festive vibe over the Easter weekend, Newcastle Mall held an Easter competition for shoppers from March 25 to March 28.

Abigail Raghoo, marketing co-ordinater for Newcastle Mall, explained a giant golden egg was placed in the mall and shoppers had to guess what was inside.

Karishma Singh was the winner, who correctly guessed that a braai was hidden in the egg.

Mrs Singh won the Megamaster three burner unit braai, and will now be able to enjoy family weekends around the braai.

“I am so happy, as this is the first time I have ever won anything,” she said.
