Beauty queens and pageant girls from across Newcastle are gearing up for Miss Newcastle 2016.

The grand finale is scheduled to take place on May 7 at the old Monte Vista Casino building.

The theme of the this year’s main event is under construction, and is expected to be a showcase to remember.
