Afro-pop songstress is back after answering her call to become a sangoma

“It was a calling I had to answer to and although things had started to go well for my music career, I had to put everything on hold and respond to my calling."

LOCAL Afro-pop songstress, Cebo Dikane, has returned to the music scene after being away on practice to become a traditional healer.

Cebo commenced her initiation to become a sangoma in November last year and completed her training in March this year.

“It was a calling I had to answer to and although things had started to go well for my music career, I had to put everything on hold and respond to my calling,” she said.

Having completed her training, Cebo is now a traditional healer and looks forward to what this new life will hold for her.

Her life as a traditional healer will, however, have no interference with her music career as she is planning to launch more music in the near future.

“It has really been an overwhelming journey for me, but every step has been so exhilarating for me as I have been experiencing something completely new to me,” said this KwaGwebu based star.

Cebo would like to thank everyone who has supported her through this journey of self-discovery.
