Artist blossoms at solo exhibition

Her series is dedicated to all the strong women in her life;

23-year-old Estcourt born Kirsten ‘Deedz’ Diedrick was overjoyed and proud to have her 2017 Snowflower series displayed at her first solo art exhibition.

The exhibition was held on September 7 at the First Thursdays x City Zen Café in Durban. Her series is dedicated to all the strong women in her life; all the Snowflowers.
Women who continue to bloom even on the coldest of days and nights.

“This is for the women who are soft and beautiful; the women who quietly endure the harshness that falls upon them yet remain strong through it all.  May we all be strong women, may we raise our daughters to be strong women, and may we all be flowers that bloom in the snow,” said Ms Diedrick in her artist statement.

The exhibition will be running until October 4. The exhibition also saw live performances from Red Robyn, The 3am Club and Nick Pitman. The food was traded by Falafel Fundi on the night.

The evening was a fusion of all sorts of art forms from the music to the food served as well. The Diedrick family would like to wish Kirsten all the best in the art industry as she flies the Estcourt flag high.
