We often wonder what social message texts mean and sometimes we feel embarrassed when it comes to having to ask what an abbreviation means.

Well, here are a few tips to keep you up to date on what some commonly used abbreviated texts mean:

X= kiss
IC= I see
PPL= people
BTW= by the way
MU= miss you
NM=Not much
HMU= hit me up
IDK= I don’t know
TX= Thanks
RUOK= are you okay?
AMA= ask me anything
OMW= on my way
ASAP= as soon as possible
FYI= for your information
HBD= Happy birthday
B= Be
BT= but

F8= fate
PLS= Please
L8R= later
2DAY= today
4E= forever
CU= See you
ILY= I love you
IDC= I don’t care
