Hair today, gone tomorrow, for Shavathon

Make a difference in the lives of others by parting with your hair

Tomorrow the Pick ‘n Pay Centre will play host to the CANSA Shavathon.

Organised by Shalini Jogi in conjunction with the DunGlen Club, Shavathon will be hoping to raise funds and awareness for CANSA.

You can go bright or go bald, the choice is yours. If you’re a local business who wants to contribute, you can also make a donation towards Shavathon. One company has already donated R5 000 and is challenging others to match or better that.

There will be music in the form of a DJ to keep the crowds entertained and a jumping castle in the parking lot for the little ones.

If you have long hair, you can also donate your ponytail towards CANSA.

Two young ladies, Nicola Holliday and Sonishka Singh have already parted with their ponytails for the good cause.

Just put it in a Ziploc bag with all your details and you can help make a difference in the lives of others.

If you would like to contribute towards the Shavathon, contact Shalini Jogi onĀ 034 212 3142.
