#FoodPornFriday: Five absolutely delicious dinner party dessert drinks

Whether we would like to admit it or not, to some extent most of us enjoy a sweet treat after a meal.
Whether it is chocolate mousse, S’mores, red velvet cake or even ice-cream, as South Africans, we love our pudding.

Therefore, any family dinner requires a well prepared three coarse meal, ended with a pudding of any sort.
Yet, as most of us know, family dinners tend to get rather awkward at one or other stage.

You have mom-in-law moaning about burnt crusts, or mumbling that your malva pudding is too dry.
So, we have gathered together a list of five delicious, dinner party dessert drinks, guaranteed to satisfy anyone’s taste buds at the dinner table.
(Please note: Alcohol should not be sold or served to any persons under the age of 18-years-old)
Red velvet cake martini:

Ingredients:
For the rim garnish:
Four tablespoons organic granulated cane sugar
One teaspoon premium unsweetened cocoa powder
15ml white chocolate liqueur
For the Red Velvet Cake Martini:
Ice
45ml Frangelico Hazelnut Liqueur
30ml White Cacao Liqueur
30ml Vodka
30ml Natural Cherry Liqueur
1½ teaspoons grenadine syrup
Special equipment needed:
Cocktail shaker with strainer
Chilled martini glass
Rimmed shallow plates for rim garnish
Directions:
Prepare the rim garnish:
Whisk together the sugar and cocoa powder. Place the sugar and cocoa mixture into a rimmed shallow plate.
Pour the white chocolate liqueur into a rimmed shallow plate.
Dip rim of martini glass into the plate with the liqueur, then immediately dip into the plate with the sugar and cocoa mixture.
Prepare the cocktail:
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
Add remaining cocktail ingredients and shake well for about 20 seconds.
Pour it into the prepared martini glass and serve.
Tiramisu caketails:

Ingredients:
Ice
Coffee extract
Amaretto
Milk chocolate liqueur
White chocolate liqueur
Sprinkle of cocoa powder
Directions:
Add a bit of each liqueur starting at the top of the list.
The layers will slowly merge together and create a marbled effect such as the layers of a Tiramisu.
Allow to chill for five minutes and then serve.
S’mores Pudding Shots:

Ingredients:
One packet instant chocolate pudding mix
3/4 cup two percent milk
1/2 cup fluffed marshmallow vodka
250ml whipped cream
1/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
1/2 cup marshmallow fluff
One milk chocolate bar
Directions:
Whisk together the chocolate pudding mix and milk until thick and smooth.
Add the vodka, whisking until the mixture is free of lumps.
Fold in the whipped cream and mix well.
Spoon 1 1/2 teaspoons of graham cracker crumbs into the bottom of each mini cordial glass.
Place the pudding mixture into a piping bag and pipe the pudding mixture using a swirl motion into each glass, stopping about 1/2 inch before the rim of glass.
Spoon or pipe the marshmallow fluff onto the pudding mixture.
Garnish with a piece of milk chocolate bar sliced or grated over the top.
Melktertjies:

Ingredients:
One 375 ml bottle Vodka.
One 395 gram (300ml) tin of condensed milk .
Half of a 375 ml tin evaporated milk
Ground cinnamon
Directions:
Using a food processor or whisk, mix all ingredients together.
Refrigerate the mixture for at least two hours before pouring them into shooter glasses.
Sprinkle ground cinnamon over each melktertjie and serve chilled.
Dompedro:

Ingredients:
1 cup vanilla ice cream
2 shots Kahlua
2 tablespoons fresh whipped cream
Chocolate sauce and grated chocolate for garnish
Directions:
Blend the ice cream and liqueur until thick and smooth.
Grate chocolate and add chocolate sauce for garnish before serving.
