Courier At The Movies – The Commuter

It is entertaining, unrealistically so, but Neesom produces a fast, action-packed tale, that ends with a hell of a bang

This movie starts off with a depiction of an insurance agent in a humdrum, tired existence, that gets fired five years before his pension date. He ends up in a bar, where we learn that he is an ex-police officer.

He has a chat with his ex-partner, who happens to be in the same bar, as well as their captain. Well, now…. Events escalate from there, and Michael McCauley (Liam Neeson) soon realizes that things are not what they seem on his daily commute back home. There are people that do not belong on the train, especially a statuesque blonde, (Farigia) that makes him an offer he probably could refuse, but doesn’t want to. He has to identify a passenger on the train that answers to the name Prynne, place a GPS tracker on him or her, and get the bag this passenger is carrying.

TRAILER:

Fist fights and card games, and a few capers outside a speeding train later, and it is evident that he has a problem.
The drama and tension ratchet a few notches upward, and people start dying. The mysterious woman apparently can see him and manages to phone him on whatever phone he happens to have nearby.

Reality Nazis and blooper sniffers will not like this one. It is entertaining, unrealistically so, but Neesom produces a fast, action-packed tale, that ends with a hell of a bang. Statham fans will also like this movie, I know.

Just go get it and watch it. Just remember, this is not a chick flick, okay.
